Chapter 22: To Die For

A few generations ago, a young Wesley Vaugn was working as a busboy at a busy diner owned by a man he knew as Mr. Ricci. One night, he offered to close up to give Mr. Ricci a chance to get home earlier and rest. As Wesley walked home alone late in the night, he was attacked by three young men who wanted his keys so they could break into the diner. During a struggle, Wesley was stabbed and left bleeding to death in an alley way.

The Countess arrives with Death shortly after, and the two discuss Wesley's fate. Ultimately, Death agrees to let the Countess take him.

Many years later, Wesley, now a vampire, is confronted by both Samantha Cordial, who is seeking vengeance against him for the death of her sister Kimberly, as well as by Willow, who didn't realize that he had anything to do with her mentor's death. Upset at this fact, Willow turns away as Samantha attacks him. But after remembering her friendship with him and how he promised to protect her when she was a child, she wants to give Wesley a chance and tries to stop Samantha from killing him.

Elsewhere, Linden and Rowan, reunited, are re-bonding over dinner, Linden talking about how life is in Sunset Valley. Jasmine arrives with Wren and Raven. She offers to bring Rowan and Linden to see Willow after she drops the younger Marlen twins back at home.

They reach campus just as Willow helps Wesley escape Samantha. But Samantha casts a deadly spell which catches Wesley, and injures him severely. Jasmine narrowly misses hitting him with her truck. Rowan inadvertently distracts Samantha which allows Willow to cast a sleep spell on her. Finding Wesley hurt, she tries to bring him to safety using a teleportation spell, but unwittingly brings Rowan, Jasmine and Linden as well.

They arrive at Sibyll's lair.

chapter 23: Unwelcome

At the Tri Var mansion, Cecilia remembers her night she spent with Malcolm Landgraab with regret. She's also unable to stop thinking about Wesley the mysterious man who kissed her that night, though unbeknown to her, had fed on her. She tries to call her sister but Jasmine isn't answering.

Jasmine had been teleported, along with Wesley, Rowan and Linden, by Willow to Sibyll's abandoned graveyard where Sibyll confronts them. Wesley is badly injured from Samantha's spell but before he slips into unconsciousness, he gives Willow the Construct's Key.

Linden and Rowan suddenly seem drained of energy and ill, which Sibyll explains is a side effect from a spell Willow had managed to cast, using the life force of her blood relatives to feed her power, amplifying it enough to teleport an entire group of sims instead of just her and Wesley. Sibyll, trying to restore Wesley to health, informs them that he needs blood and Willow volunteers despite her brothers' protest. Aware of the blood spell Willow accidentally cast, Sibyll does not allow Rowan and Linden into the church, but agrees to let Jasmine accompany Willow.

Inside, Sibyll explains how the blood spell is old and can sometimes kill the non-witches in the family. Surprised that Willow has no idea who she is and how important she is, she explains how the Coven have taken interest in her.

"Sibyll: I'm not the one to ask about the motives of the Coven. I don't tend to dabble in Witch politics. However, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest that whatever brought Wesley to this situation had to do with you ...

You are indeed important to them, love. But I'll decide what to do with you after you've made a few more decisions for yourself. I'm not completely heartless."

She also admits that she had tried to kill Rowan to weaken Willow, but that was before realizing how ignorant and incompetent Willow was. Wesley seemed to care for her, so only for his sake would Sibyll spare her life. She prepares Willow to be bled to feed Wesley.

Cecilia in the meantime, unable to sleep is watching television when she comes across the news reporting Heather Huffington's run for Mayor of Simtopi. For some reason, this angers the ghost which throws a photo album at the television set. Cecilia picks up the photo album and finds a picture of the ghost in her living form and discovers that her name is Brittany Upsnott.

chapter 24: Devotion

Samantha, still under the sleep spell, is teleported by Wanda Tinker who is a witch and an officer of the Circle. Wanda breaks Samantha's spell and berates her for trying to kill Wesley out of revenge even though it was against the Circle's principles.

After leaving Sibyll's lair, Jasmine tries to get back to her truck and realizes that it's been towed since she had been gone. Linden and Rowan bring Willow back to her dorm, and Linden meets Gabriel for the first time. Both brothers find out Gabriel and Willow are dating. Before Rowan and Linden leave for the night, Rowan tells Gabriel to keep an eye out on Willow.

Linden stays at Rowan's apartment that night. He finds an unfinished painting of Meadow, and recalls a moment in college during a party where Meadow was sitting with him, upset about Rowan's cheating.

The next morning, Linden leaves to visit their parents and Rowan manages to make it to Meadow's work place, missing a lunch date. Though Meadow doesn't act upset, he tries to make it up to her. He is told to leave by the manager who is upset that Meadow isn't concentrating on her job.

Meadow recalls the party before she left Rowan, when she had that talk with Linden. She had tried to kiss Linden, though he wouldn't let her. He instead tells her that she needs to break up with Rowan. It was advice she followed, as she packed her things, left the dorm and dropped out of college in the next few days.

Meadow receives a call, which prompts her to change her plans about meeting with Willow. Willow, in need of a distraction agrees to meet Meadow at her apartment instead of the library to help her with her assignment. Gabriel, on Rowan's request to watch Willow, insists on joining them.

At Meadow's place, Willow and Gabriel are both taken by surprise when Meadow introduces them to hers and Rowan's son, Sage.

" He's the reason why I dropped out of college. He's the reason why I'm back. "

chapter 25: Regrets

Malcolm Landgraab IV considers all the elements, good and bad, about his plans for Willow, who was chosen to be the Heir of the Sorceress. As he does, he reminisces on his accomplishments. Though born into a wealthy and (some say) notorious legacy, he wasn't simply content to sit on the old money his family left him. He discovered the existence of witchcraft and though he wasn't naturally born with magic, he spared no expense to train himself in the crafts. Before long, he became one of the most influential witches in the world, and earned himself the title of Head Warlock of his Coven.

Cecilia, in the meantime, is becoming obsessed with Brittany Upsnott, the ghost of the Tri-Var mansion. She realizes that someone had gone through some lengths to remove as much of Brittany as they could. Her fellow Tri-Var sisters, who she had been inadvertently snubbing recently, bring her a bouquet of roses that Malcolm left for her as a small token of apology for leaving her by on her own the other night. Cecilia isn't sure what to do about Malcolm.

Jasmine is wakened in the morning by a visitor to her dorm. Her ex-boyfriend Kyle, who had recently repaired her pick-up truck, had dropped by. He surprises her by having had her truck towed from the impound lot back to her place. Grateful, she thanks him by agreeing to a date.

Later that same day, Gabriel and Willow get acquainted with Willow's new found nephew Sage. Willow is rightly surprised that Meadow had kept him a secret from their family for so long. Meadow explains to Willow that she was confused and angry and she doubted that Rowan would be a good father or that he'd even appreciate knowing about their son. Afraid of being disappointed by Rowan on this, she decided to leave town and take care of Sage on her own. She insists to Willow that she has to be the one to tell Rowan and Willow reluctantly agrees.

Jasmine and Kyle reignite their relationship over several drinks at her dorm. Unfortunately, the liquor gets the best of Kyle and he passes out a little earlier than Jasmine would have liked. Adrian comes by just then and seeing how drunk Jasmine is, decides to help her to her room.

"Adrian glanced over to her unconscious friend on the couch as he pulled Jasmine to her feet. She stumbled clumsily against him, throwing her arms around his neck to brace herself. She was very warm, and very flushed.

Adrian: No regrets?
Jasmine: None whatsoever. "

He's a little cautious but at Jasmine's insistence, he stays with her. Though she drunkenly comes on to him, he gently turns her down. He confesses to her that he tried to kiss Willow, but she rejected him for Gabriel. Jasmine gets angry and kicks him out of her room.

Meanwhile, Cecilia thinks again about what the ghost told her about the third floor and find the entrance to the attic of the Tri-Var mansion.

chapter 26: Snowfall

A couple of years ago, Gabriel found out from his cousin Jasmine that a room had opened up in her friend Willow's dorm. He moved in that year and met Willow for the first time. But Willow was too much of an introvert to be friends with him, even though Gabriel was more than friendly to her.

Now in their senior year, Willow and Gabriel are finally together. Gabriel has been nothing less than perfect with her, but Willow still has her doubts. She doesn't want to involve him in all the trouble she's in and she isn't sure how she should be feeling about him. She also isn't sure what she should do about Adrian.

After her class, Cecilia finds her. Cecilia swallows a lot of her pride and asks Willow for help with the ghost. Willow doubts Cecilia's sincerity, wondering if this is all an elaborate prank, but seeing how upset Cecilia really is, she agrees to at least talk about it.

Willow finds Jasmine later on. Jasmine has been allusive because she's been dealing with everything that had happened recently, including admitting to herself that she has a crush on Adrian. Willow manages to pry it out of her, and only then after Jasmine all but admits her feelings about him, does Willow feel a tinge of jealousy. Jasmine is too proud to pursue someone who's in love someone else at this point so she asks Willow to just let it go.

Later that night, Adrian talks to Jasmine, who had been avoiding him since the other night. He talks to her about his feelings for Willow. He knows he won't act on them again, but he can't help the way he feels. He admits to Jasmine that he knows how she feels about him and is sorry that he can't return those feelings.

Adrian and Jasmine

Willow is still thinking about Adrian, reminiscing about their friendship and being conflicted about turning down his kiss from the other night. But she still cares a lot for Gabriel, and wants to be in love with him and not hurt him. With all this on her mind, she decides to take the next step in their relationship with him.

chapter 27: Mortality

Clara uses a strong and dangerous spell to magically reanimate dead sims and bind them to her service, transporting them to the Sim State University campus where they will carry out her plans.

Wesley wakes from resting after being near-fatally injured by Samantha's spell. Sibyll greets him, tells him that Willow is safe. But she herself is enraged after he confirms hers suspicions that he made a Pact with Clara to become human and mortal again.

Willow wakes up in Gabriel's arms, but leaves before he wakes up so she could rush to class. Melody Tinker intercepts her and to tell her that her mother, Wanda, would like to speak to her. Willow agrees, but only after her exam.

They meet at the library cafe, and Wanda introduces herself as an Officer of the Circle of the Nine.

"Willow: Circle of the Nine... what does that mean anyway?
Wanda: I'm not sure to be honest. Something about the original founders of our little coven. But all that is lost in myth and history now.
Willow: It's a little weird. This whole thing is. I never thought of witches in the way of being organized.
Wanda: We've been around forever, Willow. How else would we be? "
Wanda answers some of Willow's questions and asks Willow to bring Wesley to them so he could be questioned. Willow isn't sure she could trust them, after all, Samantha did nearly try to kill him. Wanda only promises to help and to warn her of the dangers surrounding them.

Cecilia walks into the cafe, looking tired. Wanda senses Willow knows her. Willow tells Wanda about Cecilia's problem with the hauntings and Wanda encourages her to help. "Even if she isn't a friend. It's good for the soul."

On Wanda's advice, Willow meets up with Cecilia at the Tri-Var mansion. Cecilia shows her the photo album and explains everything that happened and everything she knows about the ghost. They go to the attic to explore but only find an unfinished attic full of old junk and nothing about a "third floor". When they come back down, Cecilia is taunted by the ghost of Brittany Upsnott, but even though it's right in front of them, Willow doesn't see or sense anything. Cecilia, frustrated, lashes out at Willow but she later apologizes and begs for her help. Willow, taking cues from Brittany's picture in the photo album, suggests that maybe the Secret Society might have information about her.

Jasmine had been purposefully avoiding Adrian all day, even at their dorm. Adrian manages to confront her later on that night, letting her know that he'd be willing to move out if he makes her uncomfortable now. Jasmine, still proud, tells him to stay, that he didn't affect her all that much. Against her wishes, he walks with her home.

Jasmine is annoyed at Adrian's insistence on not leaving her alone, accusing him of just wanting everyone to not hate him. Adrian isn't sure why he couldn't leave it be, but before the conversation gets too far, they're attacked by Clara's zombies.

Chapter 28: The Mission

Rowan is trying to get in touch with Willow and is becoming increasingly frustrated when she doesn't respond to him and no one knows where she is. In actual fact, she is just returning home from being with Cecilia all night. Cecilia is with her.

Clara observes through her scrying crystal as Jasmine and Adrian are attacked by her zombies. Jasmine manages to fight them off of a disbelieving Adrian. They both run to her dorm where her truck is parked, fighting off another zombie. Adrian could only watch in horror as Jasmine runs it over with her truck as they race to Willow's dorm.

Willow and Cecilia tries to convince Gabriel to help them get to the Landgraab Mansion, the headquarters of the Secret Society. Cecilia admits to him that she's been seeing ghosts. Gabriel doesn't quite believe it all yet, but he trusts Willow and agrees to call the Secret Society limo to bring them there.

They don't realize that the other zombies have arrived at their dorm just as they leave.

The undead monsters kill two of the students living there and under Clara's command, steal Willow's spellbook. Clara watches through her crystal, pleased, until Sibyll appears in her summoning chamber.

Clara would rather not fight in closed quarters around her sensitive spell equipment, so she teleports them both away.

chapter 29: Invocation / part 1

Safely away in their home, Meadow Thayer puts her son, Sage to sleep, promising that she'd do anything to keep him safe and well cared for.

Samantha Cordial is staying in her sister's condo, and now that she had been unofficially suspended from her investigation, she has been spending all her time doing her own research about what Kimberly was doing in Simtopi. While she naps, she's visited by Kimberly in a dream, who then proceeds to give her cryptic advice.

Kimberly's advice leads Sam to her magic objects, notably her scrying crystal which like most magic objects, are locked to its owner. But Kim and Sam are so close, spiritually and genetically that Sam is able to awaken Kim's crystal. Through all the random images she sees, the most important seem to be images of a book, a mirror and a chair, which remind her of an old legend.

Far on the city limits, Wesley prepares to head out to find and help Willow, parting with Sibyll.

Cecilia, Willow and Gabriel make it safely to the Secret Society house. Cecilia sees the sim eating cowplant outside and Gabriel has to warn her not to go near it. Meanwhile, Willow tries to convince Carl Anderson to let Cecilia look around harmlessly. Carl is being resistant to this, so while Gabriel distracts them, Willow and Cecilia run off. While they do, Cecilia sees a random ghost and wonders if she really is the only one who could see them.

Jasmine and Adrian arrive at Willow's dorm and are horrified to see it on fire with zombies wandering around it . After fighting a few off, Jasmine finally tells Adrian that this wasn't the first time she's encountered the undead and that they were here for Willow. Adrian, afraid for Willow, tries to rush into the house but is attacked by another zombie. Jasmine helps him by hitting it with a bat, and argues at Adrian for rushing into the house without thinking. Behind them, the zombie gets back up, but is suddenly and finally killed when Rowan suddenly shows up and takes its head off with a katana.

Rowan with a motherfucking sword

They're both surprised to see Rowan there (with a sword), but Rowan is there to find his sister. Adrian and Rowan run into the burning house to find her. Rowan kills another zombie and though Adrian doesn't find Willow, he unsuccessfully tries to look for other survivors before they run back outside.

Outside, Jasmine points them out to a light in the sky that suddenly just appeared.

Back in Simtopi, as Samantha is leaving the condo, she sees the same light. Wesley appears in front of her then. His own sense of personal honour knows he needs to answer to Samantha for murdering her sister, but he needs to know that Willow will be safe and cared for. Before he could really turn himself in, Samantha asks for his help.

chapter 29: Invocation / part 2

Clara teleports herself and Sibyll up to the roof of her condo building where she tries to kill her there, but Sibyll manages to resist her spells. Sibyll demands that Wesley is released from the pact, but Clara refuses.

Cecilia and Willow look through the archive halls to see if Brittany's portrait is there, but they don't find her. Willow tries to calm Cecilia down by telling her that maybe she is a medium and that her ability to see ghosts where no one else can is a gift, even if it's a gift that Cecilia doesn't want. She also tells Cecilia that maybe Brittany's ghost is trying to tell her something about the "third floor". Willow thinks maybe she meant the third floor in this mansion, not Tri-Var's.

Carl interrupts them and once again asks Cecilia to leave. Willow, impatient, casts a love spell on Carl to allow Cecilia to stay. Carl immediately changes his mind, falls in love with Cecilia and lets her go anywhere in the mansion even though it's against the rules.

Cecilia finally finds the entrance to the attic in the upstairs bathroom. She suddenly has a bad feeling about this, but Willow goes up to explore. Gabriel waits outside the bathroom and distracts Carl away by leading him outside. Upstairs, there does look like a real third level up there, but it's dark and unused. Willow walks down a hallway to a room at the end of the hall, it's door locked. She suddenly realizes that the key that Wesley gave her could open it.

Inside, Willow finds a Mirror with a strange reflection.

Suddenly she is magically bound to the mirror and is knocked out from the force of it. A magic column of light that reaches the sky heralds to everyone Willow's acceptance of the Second Gift.

At a crucial moment when Sibyll has Clara ready to be killed, she is distracted and horrified by the herald and weakened as Clara casts a spell. Clara quickly uses a modified teleportation spell to summon an enchanted cage of her own creation around Sibyll. Sibyll is unable to shape shift or escape.

Jasmine, Rowan and Adrian see the herald. Even Malcolm Landgraab the IV, as far away as Bluewater Village is can see the herald, much to his delight. Gabriel and Carl are just outside and confused about what's going on in the attic. Samantha teleports in with Wesley. Wesley hurries to find Willow in the attic. He's at first confronted by Cecilia, not recognizing her from the night at Club Divine, and asks her to leave for her own safety.

He runs into the room and sees Willow and the mirror. Not being able to see his reflection in the mirror, he's safe from it for the moment. Willow wakes up and is glad to see Wesley, but the surge of energy left her disoriented. Terrified, she teleports them both away. The mirror is teleported with them.

In Simtopi's east end, while Meadow sleeps, Sage wakes up and crawls out of his crib. He walks outside to see the light in the sky heralding Willow's gift, and surprisingly, he says her name.

chapter 30: Daybreak

In an age long past, a woman comes to a castle to join her other two sisters. One lying in bed, and the other is keeping vigil beside her. To the sister seated beside the bed, the visiting sister is not welcome, even though they both know that the one who is ill would have wished all of them to be together.

"But she asks for peace for us."
"I will respect that. It's only her nature. Even after everything you've done... she wishes you well."
"I could only ask you to forgive me now. In time, you will understand why I've done what I did."
"If I live a thousand years, I never will, nor do I wish to. But in the here and now, all that is unimportant...Our sister is dying."

Clara winds down after successfully dealing with Sibyll. She doesn't wait to watch Sibyll die in the dawn, she's too anxious to summon her undead slave and retrieve Willow's book which she does. She promptly destroys the zombie soon after.

After Willow teleports away with Wesley, Cecilia is left alone waiting in the hallway. Brittany's ghost shows up, frantic and claiming she never meant for anyone else to come up here. Before Cecilia could get an explanation, Samantha shows up.

Samantha had to deal with Carl freaking out downstairs by using a spell to knock him out. All Gabriel could do is stand there and watch. Inside the secret room, she and Cecilia find it empty except for traces of dark magic only Sam could detect.

Unable to do anything else at this point, she brings Gabriel and Cecilia home. However they come back to firetrucks and ambulances and Gabriel's dorm burning down. Jasmine and Adrian were waiting there watching the firefighters take care of the blaze. Jasmine is introduced to Samantha for the first time. Samantha is resigned to having to investigate what went on here and brings in extra personel to deal with any stray zombies and the memories of all the emergency crew and bystanders. Rowan stands a safe distance away, watching it all.

Guided by a strange kind of instinct, Willow teleports herself and Wesley to an abandoned old house in the middle of the woods. Wesley, for her safety brings her inside and puts her to bed. Wesley wants to go and find Samantha or anyone that can come and help her, but Willow, who isn't completely herself, insists that Wesley stays with her. She makes him promise to at least stay with her until dawn.

Atop Clara's condo building, Sibyll has tried everything she could to escape from Clara's enchanted cage and despite her shouts, no one comes by to help her. Resigned, all she could do is await her fate at dawn. An appartition comes to her. Sibyll calls her "Helene".

Helene visits Sibyll

"Sibyll: When vampires rest, it isn't sleep as the mortals know it. We do not breathe. We do not dream. Yet at times in the moment between waking and oblivion, I think of you. Those are my only nightmares."

Sibyll talks about how she feared Helene's return after a thousand years and implies that Helene was responsible for her vampirism, as much as Sibyll was responsible for Helene's death.

When dawn breaks, death comes for Sibyll and she finally is able to accept it, but she doesn't wish her sister well.

chapter 31: Guardians

Gabriel is woken up in a guest room in Jasmine's Dad's house. The night before, Samantha kept their memories in tact in return for their promises to not say a word about this to anyone else. He's stunned at the existence of magic and witches but is even more distraught about Willow's disappearance.

Cecilia comes in and introduces them to the new family dog, Tucker. She feels bad about Willow disappearing, because she was the one that brought them there to look for her ghost. Gabriel doesn't feel any better and Cecilia doesn't get any absolution.

Downstairs, Clive is upset for Gabriel's sake. Even though the last time they saw eachother, they got in an argument about Denise, Clive still considers Gabriel his nephew and offers to help him with a new place of his own. Gabriel doesn't want to accept this, but Clive asks him to think about it.

Rowan meanwhile goes back to the old church they met Sibyll at a few nights before. He's hoping that Willow might be there or he might find the vampire who'd know where she is. He finds no one there, and a cat scares him away.

Gabriel borrows his mother's car and goes back to the dorm, which is now abandoned, burned out and fenced off. Everyone on campus is talking about the students that died in the fire, but Gabriel only wants to find Willow. At the dorm, he meets Rowan there, who admits he's come back several times already hoping the same thing.

They go somewhere to talk. Gabriel admits his confusion. Rowan fills him in that Willow is a witch. With everything that has already happened, Gabriel isn't any more surprised, but Rowan wants to know if he could still be counted on to take care of her. Rowan admits that he likes Gabriel and thinks he'd be decent for Willow.

Rowan vs Gabriel

Gabriel thanks him for his honesty and starts to tell Rowan about Meadow. But Rowan gets defensive at hearing her name. Before Gabriel can tell him everything, Wesley appears out of bat form. He tells Rowan that he could bring them to Willow. She needs their help.

Chapter 32: Familiar Places

Clara was a teenager when she first met Wesley. She had run away briefly and was alone in a cold alley when Wesley offers her some money to help her find a place to stay.

Wesley meets Clara
Clara takes the money ungratefully and senses something strange about Wesley. Before she could ask, he disappears without a trace.

Years later, Clara finally has Willow's spell book but is angered and frustrated to learn that she couldn't read it. The spell book (like most magic objects) is bound to it's owner, and only Willow could read it and give it away. To get Willow, Clara realizes she needs Wesley.

Cecilia feels a little awkward being back at home. With her discovery that she can see and speak to ghosts, she feels like everything is different and she is worried she doesn't have the strength to face all of these sudden changes. She goes to take Tucker for a walk and runs into Adrian who's just dropping by for Jasmine.

Jasmine was heading out for a walk and Adrian invites himself along. Jasmine doesn't know what else she could do, but they take a long walk to a nearby boardwalk by the lakeside where she and Willow used to hang out as kids. In warmer weather, it's a tourist area, but with everything covered in snow, the place is quiet. Jasmine and Adrian spend some time together there, talking about how influential Jasmine's rich father is to the city, and also talking a bit about Willow and what happened the night before. Before she gets too comfortable, her emotional defenses come up again, and she decides they should go.

Clara finds Wesley in the apartment he rents (very cheaply) in the basement of an old run down building. Wesley confronts her and tries to kill her, but their Oath prevents him from doing so, not without killing himself as well. Clara uses all the power behind the Oath to compell Wesley to obey her, as per the terms and Wesley is unable to resist.

Later on, Clara shows up at the Bairds' for a family dinner. Tucker is scared of her, and Cecilia can't trust her, but she welcomes Clara in all the same.

Adrian and Jasmine return home from their walk. Before Adrian starts heading home, Jasmine goes against her own defenses and kisses Adrian. Adrian kisses her back, but he is the first to break it off, confused and not knowing what to say to her. Jasmine takes the silence to mean that Adrian thinks the kiss was a mistake and her defenses come up again. She runs inside before Adrian could say anything else.

chapter 33: Lullaby

Willow wakes up, a little more sane than she was when Wesley brought her here. She gets up and explores the place. The house is cold and has no electricity and at a point squatters and rats lived in it. She eventually explores the cellar, which strangely enough is the cleanest room in the house. It's empty of everything else except the Mirror she found in the Landgraab mansion.

That night, well after Clara met with him, Wesley goes to Rowan hoping to get help for Willow. Rowan reacts by threatening Wesley with his sword. Gabriel tries to calm Rowan down, but before too long, Rowan tries to attack Wesley. Wesley easily fights him off and takes away his sword. He tells Rowan and Gabriel to follow him and for Willow's sake they'll just have to trust him.

Jasmine and Cecilia have dinner with Clive and Clara. Jasmine is being outwardly hostile to Clara and earns Clive's vocal disappointment. Not feeling very hungry, Jasmine excuses herself to find Gabriel. Cecilia goes after her hoping to calm her down. Reluctantly, Jasmine lets Cecilia ride with her back to campus where she's hoping to find Gabriel and maybe Willow.

The dorm is fenced off, but Jasmine knows how to get inside it. She tells Cecilia to wait in the truck and to call her on her cell phone if anyone at all shows up. Inside, she doesn't find anything, or any trace of Willow but she does find Willow's photographs of her friends and family she left on her bulletin board. Jasmine grabs them knowing Willow would want them back.

Outside, Cecilia nods off and is awakened by a ghost whispering in her ear. A police officer is outside and starts to ask Cecilia questions. Jasmine comes back out and sees the police there. But to their surprise, the policewoman soon reveals to be Samantha Cordial in disguise.

Wesley does as he promises and leads them to the house in the woods where Willow was staying. Bound by the Oath, he'd be compelled to bring Willow to Clara. Resisting it as much as he could, he leaves them there before he could do any harm to her. Willow seems to be waiting for them already. Gabriel is just glad she isn't hurt.

Rowan and Gabriel insist on bringing Willow back home and out of this place, but inexplicably, Willow wants to stay. They try to argue, but Willow thinks there's a reason she needs to stay here and teleports them both away.

At the dorm, Samantha explains why she is here, and what the Circle had to do to keep the existence of the undead and witches a secret to everyone in general, for their protection. But she's still unable to enter the dorm because of the Coven's charm that was placed there to protect Willow.

While Jasmine and Samantha are talking, Cecilia suddenly zones out as a ghost whispers something to her. Cecilia repeats the words out loud, surprising Sam. She tells Cecilia what she was saying was a counter spell for the protection charm, but Cecilia couldn't explain how she knew it.

They're interrupted however when Gabriel and Rowan are teleported back to the dorm by Willow.

Chapter 34: Sorceress

In the VIP lounge of Malcolm Landgraab the IV's Club Dante, seven witches and Malcolm gather to discuss Willow's acceptance of the Second Gift and how close she's getting to receiving her full inheritance. Some of the younger witches are doubtful about the legends of the Sorceress and the Heir and some, such as old Madame Wilhemina, are absolutely reverent about the Heir. Malcolm halts the infighting and orders all of them to protect the Heir at all costs. In order to do that, the Circle has to be weakened considerably by any means possible.

After the council is dismissed, the Sorceress appears to Malcolm and announces herself. Malcolm proclaims his loyalty to her and his commitment to return her to the world. There are less witches being born and no one believes in magic enough anymore to learn witchcraft as he did. He's taken some unconventional steps that Helene does not approve of but he reassures her is to the Coven's advantage. Helene is doubtful of Malcolm's plan and of Willow, but she is also powerless right now. If Malcolm fails, she'll just return to death but Malcolm would stand to lose everything.

Willow spends a second night in the old house in the woods. The day before, before she met Gabriel and Rowan, she explored the house and found the Mirror. She eventually discovered that the Mirror wasn't ordinary at all, that it was in fact a scrying glass. With it she was able to see what her anyone was doing, all she had to do was think of them. She could see Gabriel sleeping, and Rowan exploring foolishly exploring the church.

She knows she shouldn't just trust it but she's too tempted and can't stop looking. However the Mirror also shows her things she doesn't want to see, like Adrian and Jasmine kissing one another. She couldn't help but feel upset at this.

In the present day, Willow could only use a simple spell to suppress her hunger while she continues to search the house. She finds a secret room full of books about magic. She is certain now that this is where she needs to be.

She leaves the house for the campus library where she uses a payphone to call her Mother, hoping no one would worry about her. Elf is a little concerned that Willow decided to find a place on her own, but she trusts her. Linden, who's been staying at home while he was in town, overhears the phone conversation. Knowing Willow, he suspects that there is a lot more going on than she'd let on to their mother.

Willow leaves the library but quickly realizes she is being followed. Afraid, and before the man could catch up with her, she teleports away.

Chapter 35: Strangers

In the Tinker house, Samantha Cordial and Wanda Tinker discuss Samantha's findings. Samantha tells her that she believes Kimberly was trying to help her by showing her her thoughts and memories through the crystal. Samantha deducted that the best explanation was that the Coven was trying to resurrect the Sorceress and somehow Willow was a key to all of this.

Wanda doesn't know if she could believe that the Coven would follow an old legend so blindly but Samantha is almost sure that this is involved. Wanda asks Samantha to continue the investigation but in a different direction. Instead of Kimberly's death, she now wants to know why Kimberly died and how involved Willow was but she doesn't want Samantha to trust Kimberly, alive or dead.

Wanda accepts a phone call from one of the Circle's agents assigned to keep an eye out for Willow on campus. He tells her that Willow is back in class.

Back at campus, Willow seeks out Gabriel. She had spent the rest of the midterm break on her own and no one had seen her for more than a week. Gabriel talks to her but doesn't hide the fact that he's angry that she teleported him away.

Gabriel: ... I don't get it, Willow. You're right, I don't understand what being a witch is all about. And frankly when it came to you, I didn't care. But are you gonna just zap me to another zip code every time we get into a disagreement? Or hell, why stop at that? Why not turn me into a toad? Or use magic to make me change my mind? What's the limit, Willow, 'cause I'm not walking on eggshells around you.

Willow is genuinely sorry, and just wants everything to be the same as it was before, but Gabriel, still upset, needs time to think about it.

Later on that night, Jasmine is spending yet another night at Gabriel's new apartment. She's obviously avoiding being at her dorm because of Adrian and Gabriel calls her on it. Jasmine would rather not talk about it, and agrees not to bother Gabriel about Willow too. She later gets too drunk to go home, so Gabriel allows her to sleep over just this night.

Willow spends the day at campus catching up with her studies. She starts to walk back to her house when she realizes again that she's being followed. Frightened, she starts to run which only prompts the witch to teleport in front of her. This scares her even more so she uses magic to defend herself before running into a wide park and into the arms of an old woman. The younger witch pursuing her catches up and tries to get Willow to listen to him, but the old woman reveals herself to be Madame Wilhemina, a dark witch.

Enter Wilhemina
In defense of Willow, Wilhemina kills the pursuing witch with a bolt of lightning much to Willow's horror.

Willow runs away frightened and eventually finds Adrian, out for a late run. Adrian sees how frightened Willow is and instinctively tries to protect her, offering to bring her back to his dorm nearby.

Chapter 36: Comfort

Cecilia is back at the Tri-Var mansion and is feeling less frightened of Brittany's ghost. That night, she gets a call from a Tiffany Sampson who is working as the personal assistant of Heather Huffington, a candidate for the Mayoral election. Cecilia had been trying to get in touch with them because of their friendship to Brittany Upsnott when they were in college. The ghost is unhappy with this.

Willow and Adrian innocently talk, reconnecting their friendship to one another. Adrian doesn't bother her about what happened the other night, or tonight. He just wants her to feel safe, and he's sure she'd tell him everything on her time. He lets her sleep in his room while he takes the couch downstairs.

Later that night, Adrian has a dream of Willow coming downstairs and waking him up. Before he could say anything, they are both kissing eachother passionately. But Willow becomes the Sorceress, which frightens Adrian to waking. Jasmine, coming home that night after not being able to sleep at Gabriel's, and hears Adrian cry out Willow's name in his sleep. Adrian is unable to give her any excuses.

Willow, strangely has the exact same dream. She's afraid of what she would do if she stays so she teleports away instead before Jasmine could find out she's there.

In the morning, Jasmine stubbornly refuses to talk to Adrian. She's actually hurting but doesn't want anyone to know. However, Samantha comes upon her and asks Jasmine for her help bringing Willow in.

Chapter 37: Face to Face

Linden and Willow spend some time with eachother a few days later. Linden just wants to know if Willow will be alright, but Willow is being allusive and defensive. Suspicious and worried about her, he goes to Rowan's place, but Rowan is brooding about something else.

Cecilia finally is able to meet Heather Huffington. Tiffany attends the meeting as well. Heather assumed that Cecilia might be endorsing her for the position of mayor and being granddaughter of the retiring Mayor, that endorsement was important.

Heather is more than disappointed to learn that this wasn't a meeting about the election at all and that Cecilia just wanted information about Brittany Upsnott. All Heather would tell her was what everyone knew... Brittany disappeared and noone heard from her again. But Heather and Tiffany are both suddenly upset and overly defensive about it and throw her out of the meeting.

While Cecilia is waiting for her cab, Tiffany drives up instead with Heather in the back seat. She insists driving Cecilia back to campus, but they need to explain what they know about Brittany, and they also want to know what Cecilia knows too.

That night, Willow has a nightmare about the young witch that was killed by the dark witch in the park. She dreams that the witch was Gabriel and she was unable to help him. Afraid, she asks the mirror to show her Gabriel and is relieved that he's safe and alive. She teleports to him so they're able to talk.

Gabriel is no longer angry with her but he wants to learn more about her. Willow isn't so sure he should, that he could be in danger. That and her own confused emotions about him and Adrian and everything else happening in her life makes her decide that maybe she couldn't be in a relationship with him anymore.

Even though it isn't what Gabriel wants, they break up that night.

Chapter 38: Sisterhood / part 1

Jasmine is awakened that night by a phone call from Cecilia. Cecilia tells her that she's in a car with Heather Huffington and Tiffany Sampson and heading back to the Tri-Var Mansion. Jasmine is suspicious of this but Cecilia doesn't tell her anything else.

On the drive back to the campus, Heather tells Cecilia about hers and Tiffany's relationship with Brittany in college. They all met at the Tri-Var mansion while Brittany was still the Queen Bee. They were friends for a while, but that quickly changed when Heather, who was a lot more cheerful and friendlier than Brittany was, started to become more popular.

Brittany started to get jealous of her. Heather had more boyfriends and Tiffany was naturally smarter but Brittany had to struggle with both aspects. She finally was accepted as a Secret Society member and finally had something over the other two girls.

However one morning, Brittany was brought back to the mansion still in her uniform. Acting insane, she destroys furniture, breaking every mirror in the house before locking herself in her room. Heather and Tiffany suspected that something serious must have happened at the Secret Society house to trigger Brittany's breakdown. Quietly, to protect her reputation, she was committed to a psychiatric institution where she later managed to kill herself.

Heather was particularly upset with this and out of respect for Brittany and the reputation she held so dear, she wanted this to be kept quiet. She and Tiffany made up the lie about her just disappearing so no one would know about her being committed.

Cecilia wasn't sure that she could believe them. Before they leave however, Brittany's ghost attacks them with a lamp. But as angry as the ghost was, only Cecilia could see and feel it.

The ghost frustrated and wanting to be heard takes drastic measures and possesses Cecilia. The insane ghost then cuts off all of Cecilia's hair and attacks Heather and Tiffany with a kitchen knife, and taking Heather hostage. They don't believe her when she tells them that she isn't Cecilia, that she really is Brittany. Nevertheless, Brittany forces them into the car and makes Tiffany drive them to the Secret Society mansion.

Jasmine, worried about her sister, arrives at the Tri-Var mansion just in time to see Cecilia driving off with Heather and Tiffany. Even more concerned now, she follows them.

Chapter 38: Sisterhood / part 2

Brittany brings them to the Secret Society mansion and forces Heather and Tiffany to remember what happened here. Heather knows she lied to Cecilia but Brittany knew that she was never committed into an insane asylum and she never killed herself. She reminds them of what actually happened that day. After she destroyed the Tri-Var mansion, she was not quietly commited. She returned to the Landgraab Mansion. Heather and Tiffany, concerned for their friend, followed her.

At the mansion, an insane Brittany accused them of being jealous of her now that she was a Secret Society member. Now that she had the run of this place, she wanted to redecorate the mansion and started in on that until she found the third floor. But she's suddenly frightened by the memory of the Mirror she found up in that room. She loses her balance and falls backward over a fence, right into the sim-eating cowplant's pit.

Even though Heather and Tiffany urge her to run out, the plant is faster and swallows Brittany whole before their terrified eyes.

They knew no one would believe them and they were sure that Brittany had been gossiping about their jealousy for a while. So Heather and Tiffany made a sisterhood pact to keep this quiet and let everyone believe that she just disappeared.

In the present day, the ghost of Brittany was still furious and insane and wanted Tiffany and Heather both to really know what it's like to be helpless and afraid. She tries to get Tiffany to voluntarily get into the cowplant's pit so Heather could watch her best friend die. Tiffany knew Brittany could kill Heather, but she refuses to kill herself for her.

Brittany decides to just kill them both anyway. But before she could stab them, Jasmine runs out of nowhere and tackles her. Brittany for a moment is touched that someone would care enough about her to keep her from killing anyone.

Heather convinces Brittany to leave them alone. Brittany finally leaves Cecilia's body, somehow sane, and returns to the afterlife.

Heather tries to threaten Jasmine and Cecilia but Jasmine counters back saying if she said anything about Cecilia, she could easily talk about how Brittany Upsnott really died. At an impasse, Heather respectfully leaves, taking Tiffany with her.

Finally safe, the only thing Cecilia seems to be concerned about is her appearance and her hair. She doesn't want anyone to see her, so Jasmine decides to call on the only person she knew that could help her this late at night: their mother.
