19: Night Life
simtopi chapter 19

Warnings: coarse/mature language, adult situations, violence

simtopi chapter 19
Spotlights that crossed against the night skies, behind bright, flashing billboards set against the city scape would herald the opening of the new Landgraab Industries production, the Club Divine. There was seldom nothing to do in the city, even for one as small as SimTopi. The city's nightlife would be boosted again tonight by the official opening of the latest night club, one that promised a night life matched by none other in the city. Where anyone willing to pay the steep cover fee could experience divine pleasure or sin.

simtopi chapter 19
Malcolm Landgraab the IV pulled nothing back for the opening night, sending invitations out to the "who's who" of the Sim world, expecting none to be refused. The club would boast celebrity guests such as actors from stage and film...

simtopi chapter 19
... superstar teen idols signing autographs for young, eager fans ...

simtopi chapter 19
... performances by famous rock bands...

simtopi chapter 19
... and of course VIP socialites from far and wide, all of which were Malcolm's most personal friends and cherished acquaintances. Tonight, Malcolm had everything in place. The club could only stand to be a success with publicity like this.

simtopi chapter 19
Clive: He's an idiot.
Clara: Maybe. But he's awfully good at what he does.
Clive: Bullying out small local businesses, tearing down heritage properties and building architectural monstrosities like this in it's place, pushing out the neighbours to start that cycle all over again... I'll give him that.

simtopi chapter 19
Clara: Are you jealous that you didn't think to do it yourself?
Clive: I'm not in the business of building monuments to my ego.
Clara: And Malcolm has a lot of them.
Clive: Oh great, he's talking.

simtopi chapter 19
Malcolm: I want to thank everyone tonight for the pleasure of joining in me in opening up the Club Divine. I'm sure all of you would love to just stand there and listen to me talk about myself all night, but I'll keep it short so you all can enjoy yourselves...

simtopi chapter 19
Malcolm: Just a toast, a simple one, to all of you here tonight. To the naysayers that said Simtopi wasn't worth it, to the politicians that tried to hold me back, and to those that have believed in us and invested in this venture to ensure this town has the best entertainment this state has to offer. Thank you friends...

simtopi chapter 19
Malcolm: ... and rivals.
With that, his eyes settled on Clive Baird standing at the back of the room. With a small smile, he lifted his glass slightly towards him before bringing his attention back to the rest of the crowd.

simtopi chapter 19
Clive didn't miss the gesture. His company had been building and restoring properties in Simtopi for decades, even before Clive became it's CEO, and eventually it's prime shareholder. Before long, Landgraab Enterprises saw the same potential in this city, and turned it's attention towards development here. But somehow Malcolm was able to get through zoning laws and political red tape to rebuild in gentrifying areas of town, leasing out storefronts to wealthier corporations and franchises pushing out any local businesses that weren't able to pay the rising property costs. Any sort of local identity was disappearing under the large neon facades of giant corporate-owned espresso bars and expensive high-fashion clothing stores.

Clive: I'm leaving.

simtopi chapter 19
Clara: What? You only just got here. And you could have dressed up a little... shaved maybe.
Clive: What for? I only came here because you asked me to, but if you expected me to do a little applaud for Landgraab whenever shit comes out of his mouth, then sorry to have disappointed you. I appreciate he's your boss, but it doesn't mean I have to like him.

simtopi chapter 19
Clara: Honestly, I don't understand this petty business rivalry. I'm disappointed in you, Clive, I would have thought you'd be able to play a little better with the other kids in the sandbox.
Clive: Not if those kids are complete assholes. Sorry. Listen, you stay here and have a good time then. Give my regards to Malcolm.
Clara: Where are you going?
Clive: For a walk. I need the fresh air.

simtopi chapter 19
He was glad to leave. Not even Clara could make him stay. He was never into the nightclub scene, particularly not as one as garish and opulent as the Club Divine. As soon as he walked out the doors, the cool air was fresher and much more welcome.

simtopi chapter 19
Though the club promised much, not every young socialite was entertained.
Tashia: I'm pretty fucking bored. Are you just going to stand here and watch people dance all night?
Cecilia: Go fucking dance if you want to.

simtopi chapter 19
Tashia: No. I hate this song. And that dude over there is looking at me weird.
Cecilia: Maybe he likes you.
Tashia: Maybe he's a pervert. Whatever.

simtopi chapter 19
Tashia: There are a lot of hot guys here. I bet they're all loaded.
Cecilia: Even your pervert?
Tashia: I can make certain exceptions. You'd make the same ones with money involved.

simtopi chapter 19
Tashia: Like I don't know you've got your sights set on Malcolm Landgraab. You like to aim for the big ones, don't you.
Cecilia: And there's nothing bigger right now than him.
Tashia: Haha, you're not that big on family loyalty, are you. You think he's gonna care if you're a Baird?

simtopi chapter 19
Cecilia: At this point, I don't care if I'm a Baird.

simtopi chapter 19
Tashia: Well, you're not the only one looking to score tonight. And sorry, honey, I work solo.
Cecilia: That's fine. I'm going to grab a drink at the lounge. I'll catch up with you later.
Tashia: Great. Happy hunting. Hope you catch the big one tonight. Tell me all about it, 'kay?

simtopi chapter 19

simtopi chapter 19
He didn't notice as Cecilia casually took the seat next to him and made her order. Bored, Wesley looked straight ahead, nursing the beverage he would never drink. He hated bars like this, but this was the only place he knew where Clara would be.

simtopi chapter 19
Common ground, he thought to himself. And it wasn't like Clara was making herself available for much lately.

simtopi chapter 19
Cecilia: You know, you look familiar.
Wesley: I guess I'm one of those types of people.
His voice was low. This was one of the few times anyone had ever paid him any attention in bars, let alone spoke to him.

simtopi chapter 19
The girl suited the scene. Beautiful, young, probably wealthy, overdone and wearing an expensive dress cut low, showing off a bounty of skin. She was warm and flushed. Any man would be happy to have been beside her. She was an opportunity to seduce. But she only served to remind Wesley that he hadn't fed himself in days.

simtopi chapter 19
He was far past the point of hunger. He hated the craving. But it overcame every other sense he had and it was impossible to ignore.

simtopi chapter 19
Frozen burgers. TV Dinner. Ice-cream. Willow carefully looked over the contents of the refridgerator, scanning ingredient lists as she did. Her mother, the eco-guru and daughter of a famous chef, would hate that she was feeding herself this way. There was a school cook at her dorm, but there was only so much mac n' cheese and pancakes she could stand. At least it was organic frozen dinners, even though she knew it didn't mean much. She looked down at her basket, wondering what flavour of ice-cream Gabriel would like.

simtopi chapter 19
It was a little strange to be already living with the guy she had only been dating for a week and half. But at the same time, it felt natural and comfortable. There were more reasons to hang out in the dining hall, or to lounge with each other in the common room couch. Though there was still the unspoken pact between them to not venture into each other's respective wings yet. With that, the dorm was large enough that they may as well be living in separate buildings. Willow was fine with that. They had only started dating.

simtopi chapter 19
She felt strange as soon as she walked out of the store. She hadn't been out this late on her own since the night of the "accident". She had spent the early evening at the library helping Meadow with her term paper the night before, but at least she wasn't alone. She thought maybe she'd be safe if she stayed close to campus. Still, the feeling she had back then was beginning to come back now, and she wasn't sure if it was significant enough to act on, or if it was just her nerves.

simtopi chapter 19
It wasn't that late, she told herself. And there was no one else around.

simtopi chapter 19
It's okay, I'm just overreacting, Willow thought. Though the nagging voice in her head kept telling her that she still didn't know exactly why she was in any kind of danger at all. She hurried her pace as she headed down the block towards home.

simtopi chapter 19

simtopi chapter 19
Where Wesley could count his life in decades, The Countess Alexandria Sibyll Tremaine could measure hers in centuries. She was at an age where she could sleep undisturbed for days, or months if she had to, and not rise to feed herself. She remembered when she had cherished everything about her immortal life. When she was feared to a point of reverence. She loved rising at sunset and staying up until the dawn, and she was thrilled to hunt. Nowadays, she'd just lie in torpor until only the need arose again.

simtopi chapter 19
Unlike Wesley, she had no issues of remorse about the hunt. It wasn't just the blood that could sustain her; she needed the energy that would take their lives in full. After centuries, she cared little that she killed. It was always a point of contention between her and Wesley.

But the ethics never mattered to her, particularly not now. Tonight, Sibyll was awake. And she was hungry.

simtopi chapter 19
The bar was a dive, filled with drunks and low lifes, converging for cheap alcohol and other sorts of odious entertainment. As long as they still kept buying, the bartender wouldn't turn anyone away, even if they were passed out in front of him.

simtopi chapter 19
This is what Sibyll was reduced to. Her hunting grounds have once been courtyards and ballrooms. She was able to choose her delicacies, and her tastes were exquisite. Lately she was all too aware that she was becoming less selective.

simtopi chapter 19
But she still had some standards left. She ignored the initial catcall from the boor at the end of the bar and found her prey. The drunk and depressed were always the easiest.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll: Good evening.
She leaned in close, whispering seductively in his ear, startling him back into consciousness.
Sibyll: I certainly hope this seat isn't taken. May I?

simtopi chapter 19
He didn't know how far he walked. He might have been only blocks away. At a point, he had stopped paying attention to the bright lights of the downtown clubs and didn't notice when things had started to get quieter. The glass, steel and neon gave way to the restored historical buildings of an older district.

simtopi chapter 19
He didn't know why he stopped here of all places. He knew she was playing here tonight. What he didn't know is why he felt compelled to go inside.

simtopi chapter 19
It was halfway through the show, but he bought the ticket anyway. He stood at the back, watching Denise sing some old jazz song he didn't even know she knew. The entire bar was a distinct contrast to the club he just left. The patrons were older, and more refined.

simtopi chapter 19
For a brief second, he felt the small spark of anger inside him. But there was something soothing about her voice. Old memories came back of a time when they were happy.

simtopi chapter 19
She was shining and radiant up there on stage, in her perfect element. For that moment, there was no one as beautiful as she was.

simtopi chapter 19
Bartender: What can I get ya?
Clive: Bourbon. Neat.
Bartender: Coming right up.

simtopi chapter 19
Bartender: Gotta excuse me, but I just gotta say you sorta don't look like the type of clientele for around here.
Clive: I wasn't aware there was a dress code.
Bartender: I was just curious, man. You don't look like the kinda guy that'd be into this show.
Clive: Well, Denise was pretty popular a few years back. Different type of music, though.
Bartender: Yeah I know. Wouldn't have figured you for that type of music either.

simtopi chapter 19
Clive: Listen, I'm just here to drink okay.
Bartender: Sure thing, buddy.

simtopi chapter 19
He watched her sing up there and something warmed up inside of him. No, it wasn't his type of music, but he always enjoyed hearing her voice. She didn't notice him at the bar, which was fine with him.

simtopi chapter 19
She performed up there and it was clear that doing so was making her happy. That used to make him happy too.

simtopi chapter 19
Bartender: She's pretty hot, isn't she. Like, don't get me wrong, I'm not into the older ladies or anything but for an older lady, she's fine.
Clive only nodded, his attention held on her.

simtopi chapter 19
Bartender: But man, she's got some hot daughters too. They were in when she played last and they were pretty smokin'. Especially the younger one... flaky but whatever. Wouldn't have said no to a piece o' that...

It took all of Clive's self control to stop himself from reaching out across the bar and strangling the bartender just then. But he remembered being this guy's age and thinking of girls the same way. It was a little difficult to relate now that those girls that the young men talked about like that were his own daughters.

simtopi chapter 19
In any case, the bartender was right. He and Denise did have two beautiful daughters together.
Clive: How long is she in town?

simtopi chapter 19
Bartender: Well the shows were supposed to be indefinite. But I dunno, it sounds like this might be one of her last ones, if not the last.
Clive: Why is that? She playing somewhere else?

simtopi chapter 19
Bartender: Nothing like that. At least not her choice. The bar's owners are in "negotiations" with Landgraab Enterprises to sell the place off.
Clive: Are you joking?
Bartender: No joke, man. It sucks for me, this is a good paying job for me too. I'm not cool with being a barista at a Starbucks, it just ain't the same thing.

simtopi chapter 19
He couldn't believe it. Landgraab seemed to be everywhere now. He looked over to the stage where she had just finished her song and taken a bow to a standing ovation. For some reason, the idea of Landgraab buying this bar made his stomach unsettled.

simtopi chapter 19
Denise: Thank you so much, everyone. Thank you, you're all so wonderful. And how about a round of applause for my trusty sidekick, Kestrel Marlen! This show would be nothing without him
Kestrel: Nonsense. This crowd knows a star when they see and hear one. As usual, Madame, you were nothing less than perfect.
The audience cheered and whistled loudly in agreement.

simtopi chapter 19
Kestrel: For you, my lady...
Denise's eyes widened in surprise when Kestrel presented her with a single red rose.
Denise: Why Kestrel, this is sweet of you.
Kestrel: Remember kids, it never hurts to kiss up to the boss once in a while.

simtopi chapter 19
Kestrel played up to the audience well, as almost as perfectly as she did. There was clear and obvious chemistry between the two of them and the audience was more than vocal about how they loved the duo on stage. The way she looked at Kestrel made him remember how she had used to look at him.

simtopi chapter 19
He wondered if anything from her former life mattered to her at all. If she even remembered or cared that they once had a past together and how blithely she seemed to throw it all away. It would be like her.

simtopi chapter 19
And it would be like her to find someone else in her life to help her with her career, said the haunting voice in the back of his conscience.

simtopi chapter 19
Bartender: Haha, that Kestrel is a dog. He always has a different chick here every night. If those two ain't banging, I dunno...

simtopi chapter 19
Clive had enough. He couldn't bother to hang out at the end of the show. He wasn't about to sit here, listen to this jerk of a bartender or watch his ex-wife being schmoozed on stage by Kestrel Marlen.

simtopi chapter 19
Unceremoniously, he paid his tab and left a large tip before he walked out the door.

simtopi chapter 19
Rowan: ... the fuck... what did you say?
Sibyll: I asked you if this seat was taken.
Rowan: What? No, I don't fucking care. Sit down if you want.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll sighed and sat down beside him. He was an utter oaf who couldn't even be bothered to even make polite eye contact with her. Even despite her lowered standards, she couldn't stand to be ignored.

simtopi chapter 19
Rowan couldn't help it. He wasn't seeing straight anyway. He knew he had too much to drink that night but he didn't care. He had been having too rough a week and he knew perfectly why. It started when Meadow came back into his life.

simtopi chapter 19
And she wouldn't stay out of it. Not like he could let her. She showed up at his yesterday in the middle of the afternoon. Time between classes, she told him and she wanted to come over and see how he was. More like blow off some steam, he thought, though he didn't say it aloud to her. He never understood the concept of "just being friends" with anyone he used to be intimate with.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll: You're in pain.
She said it simply, as a matter of fact. She glanced at him sidelong to see if he'd react.
Rowan: Yeah no shit, all this booze and all I get is a headache.
Sibyll: Not that kind of pain. You're a little heartbroken, aren't you dear.
He scoffed at her.
Rowan: What the fuck, you my mother? I'm not your 'dear'.

simtopi chapter 19
The woman beside him must have been some sort of head case. She spoke strangely, but the sound of her voice was somewhat relaxing. A little heartbroken, no shit, he thought. Meadow kept coming back to his thoughts. He couldn't shut her out.

simtopi chapter 19
He reached for his beer, but the woman stopped him. Her hands were cold, but instantly he felt warmth from her touch spread through his arm and thoroughly into him.
Rowan: What are you doing?
Sibyll: You've had enough to drink tonight, don't you think?
Rowan: Are you fucking kidding me?

simtopi chapter 19
If she didn't move her hand soon, he'd do it himself and it wouldn't be gentle. He needed this drink. Every time he closed his eyes, he thought about her and the time they spent yesterday afternoon.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll stood up and leaned closer to Rowan, tracing the edge of his jawline lightly with her fingers. He didn't stop her. For the first time, he looked at her. She was pale and beautiful, the type of woman Rowan would have in an instant. What if he needed something more than just another drink?

simtopi chapter 19
Something that would just make him forget...

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll: Come with me tonight, love. You won't be heartbroken for long, I can promise you that.

simtopi chapter 19
He couldn't help but think of Meadow's arms around him. She was soft, warm and bright. She was innocence and beauty and she wanted to be with him that day despite all the heartache he had put her through. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop himself. He couldn't say no to her.

simtopi chapter 19
Rowan: Fuck... listen lady, I don't know who you think I am, but how about you just let me have my drink and you run off and find someone else to score with.
A month ago, he wouldn't have refused her. But he couldn't deal with anything else right now. A small part of him didn't want to disappoint Meadow. He didn't want to be that person she had left years before.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll was near speechless. The oaf managed to resist her... the first time in her very long life this has happened at all.

simtopi chapter 19
Jerry: Hey. If you're looking for action tonight, I'm right here for you baby.
The other drunk at the end of the bar grinned at her, flashing bad teeth. She didn't need her acute senses to be able to smell him from where she was standing.

simtopi chapter 19
Rowan: There you go. I'm glad you two crazy kids finally found eachother, so you two go and have fun and leave me the fuck alone. We cool?
Jerry: You're a little pale and too skinny for me, but I hear you goth chicks are pretty freaky in the sack.
Sibyll: You can't possibly be speaking to me.

simtopi chapter 19
Jerry: Who else would I be speakin' to, baby. Come on, my car's just outside if you want a "ride".
Boldly, the drunk reached forward and grabbed her. Sibyll grimaced with disgust. No, she thought. She wasn't some immature, fledgling vampire gnawing at any simple vein that presented itself to them. She had gone down pretty low choosing Rowan as her prey tonight, but she didn't have to feed on anything worse. She whirled around to face him.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll: You have no idea who I am. I won't even bother wasting another moment with a disgusting waste of flesh such as you. And I swear if you touch me again, you will lose your hand and you'd be lucky if that was all.
Jerry: Ha, nice, I like it when chicks are feisty. Gets me all hot. Come on sweetheart, you're practically all over that pansy freak here, at least with me you get a real man.

simtopi chapter 19
Rowan: Come on, it's gonna be like that?

simtopi chapter 19
Rowan: You know, I get it. I thought it was true love for you two, but clearly she's not into you. I don't know, maybe it's the dickhead factor. But why do we gotta resort to name-calling? I was just having a beer, dude.

simtopi chapter 19
Jerry: I don't know who the fuck you are, but how about you get the fuck out of here before I send you crying back to your whore of a mother you fucking weirdo.

simtopi chapter 19
Rowan: What the fuck did you just say about my mom?

simtopi chapter 19
There was a slight pause as Jerry began to laugh at him, though as soon as he did Rowan was quick to throw the first punch.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll was mortified. She had prided herself in her subtlety, she couldn't believe this was starting... over her.

simtopi chapter 19
Sighing, she watched the two fight. She supposed this was what she deserved for wanting something easy and fast. But there was more to this... the fight wasn't just over an insult. He definitely wasn't trying to defend her honour. The young man was so pent up full of anger and frustration, he actually needed this as an outlet. After all this time, at least Sibyll was still good at being able to sense their motives.

simtopi chapter 19

simtopi chapter 19
She slipped out quietly, waiting for the fight to end. She was far too proud to simply let her chosen prey go. But she was also too aware that her patience was wearing thin.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll had no idea how long they were fighting, but at a point someone had called the police.

simtopi chapter 19
And they arrived to Rowan still beating on his near unconscious opponent. Drunk and angry, he was difficult to subdue, but the cops were still able to pull him off and throw the cuffs on him.

simtopi chapter 19

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll watched them take Rowan away... her victim. There would be absolutely no chance she could have him tonight. The young man had managed to escape her without ever realizing exactly how close to mortal danger he was in. Where had she gone wrong?

simtopi chapter 19
A potential customer had stopped at the door, glanced over once to the squad car where Rowan was being shoved inside. She then looked into the bar questioningly as the other drunk was being helped up by the policeman's partner. Sibyll glanced the pretty young woman over.

simtopi chapter 19
Sibyll smiled at the girl. There was still a chance, after all, that the Countess wouldn't need to go hungry tonight.

simtopi chapter 19
The club was nearing the end of the night but the dance floor was still full and the bars were still busy. Wesley stood outside, still as a statue, waiting.

simtopi chapter 19
Wesley: It's about time.
Clara: Didn't realize you were so eager to see me, Wesley.
Wesley: We have unfinished business.

simtopi chapter 19
Clara: And you're not as stupid as I thought... meeting me here. I would have outright killed you anywhere else for what you did to me.
Wesley: What I did to you? You didn't tell me you were sending me to kill Willow Marlen...
Clara: Ah yes, that little girl you kept away from the Coven when she was a child. You're still on that?

simtopi chapter 19
Wesley: Why would you want to kill her if the coven wants her that badly?
Clara: Why? Because the Coven doesn't need her. The Heir is a superstition and I can't believe we're the type to entertain that kind of bullshit.
Wesley: That isn't a reason to kill her.
Clara: Ah, dear Wesley, if you only knew.

simtopi chapter 19
Wesley: And I don't. You never told me what this whole business was about.
Clara: You never asked. And it isn't important anyway... not to you. The fact of the matter is that you betrayed me. How could I trust you now?

simtopi chapter 19
Clara: The Head Warlock had the right idea to destroy all the vampires in this town. I should have destroyed you while I could have.
She raised her hand to cast the spell but before she could finish the gesture, Wesley turned to her quickly.

simtopi chapter 19
Wesley: Likewise, Clara. And I have nothing to lose by ripping your throat out right now.

simtopi chapter 19
Clara pulled herself free and narrowed her eyes at the vampire.
Clara: But you won't kill me, Wesley. Just as I couldn't kill you. The pact still holds, doesn't it. You're still indebted to me.
Wesley: Not if you don't intend to hold up your end of it.
Clara: Are we going to agree to end it then? All bets off. Every sim for themselves? It could be an awfully messy breakup.

simtopi chapter 19
Clara: Would you really want to break the pact, honey? What other witch out there will give you what I'm offering? None of us wants to work with your kind.
He turned away, silently cursing her.
Clara: And I already know you have the Key. But it's not quite the bargaining chip you're expecting. The Key is useless to me unless I know what it opens. Bring me that, and the Book that your little friend has, and I'll think about finishing up our little deal. Got it?

simtopi chapter 19
Clara looked over and noticed Cecilia walking across the dance floor towards the balcony.
Clara: Well damn, I just got hungry all of a sudden. I could use a late night bite. Maybe I'll drop in at that quaint all-night diner down the street that Malcolm wants to tear down. I really should be watching my figure, but why go against basic nature?
She looked at Wesley and smiled knowingly.
Clara: How about I do that while you think about things. And honey, maybe you should get a snack too...

simtopi chapter 19
Clara: I know it's hard to think on an empty stomach.
What did she care if Denise's little spawn was vampire fodder. With that thought, she disappeared, leaving Wesley by himself.

simtopi chapter 19

simtopi chapter 19
Cecilia: Hey it's you again. I thought I saw someone else I knew out here.
Wesley swore softly to himself. It was the girl from the bar earlier. He hadn't expected to see her again tonight. He was too aware why Clara left him suddenly.

simtopi chapter 19
Cecilia: Wow, it's pretty nice out here isn't it. Malcolm totally went all out with a place like this.

simtopi chapter 19
Cecilia: Sorry, hope I'm not bugging you. Its so crowded in there, it's nice to get a little bit of a break.
And she also had a bit too much to drink, but she didn't want to admit that. She had tried to look for Tashia, but Tashia had been too busy being social with a few men she had met that night. In the meantime, Cecilia had managed to ward off plenty of her own, only to still find herself alone at the end of the night with Malcolm nowhere to be found. She was beginning to doubt the initial attraction she thought he had towards her. Her new companion was cute though, and she couldn't shake the feeling that she had seen him from somewhere before. Even so he still wasn't her type.

simtopi chapter 19
He prepared himself to leave, but he made the one mistake of looking at her one last time. Clara was right... he couldn't think straight. He wasn't Sibyll where he was able to control his craving. It grew stronger knowing that there was a potential victim alone here, warm and waiting. He swore softly under his breath hating to admit it: Clara was right about him.

simtopi chapter 19
No matter how much he tried, he would never be able to resist those cravings. It was in his nature.

simtopi chapter 19
Cecilia didn't know what came over her. She didn't know who this guy was but all it took was a touch to make her feel dizzy and warm. Suddenly it was as if she had left her body and something else was making her react the way she did. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was just the overall euphoria from the evening, but she didn't resist when he pulled her close to kiss her.

simtopi chapter 19
He only brushed her lips slightly before leaning her back to trace the outline of her cheek, down to her throat. The vein he needed pulsed strongly beneath the skin. She was completely entranced and willing...

simtopi chapter 19

simtopi chapter 19

simtopi chapter 19
At least tonight you didn't disappoint me, Wesley, Clara thought as she watched them from below. She knew he wouldn't kill her, but Clara could still hope for just another "accident" to happen. She grinned to herself before she disappeared into the night.

simtopi chapter 19
He had taken enough from her to keep himself alive, though he couldn't deny that the cravings for more were stronger than ever. How much longer can he feed this way, he wasn't sure. Gently, he set the unconscious girl down on the couch.

simtopi chapter 19
He thought about Clara's words and what she wanted. He needed to find Willow again, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was very wrong about giving her that Key. And what would he do when she'd find what it opened. He was only reminded that though he was given the choice, he wasn't the one to break Clara's pact tonight.

simtopi chapter 19
What just happened? her unconscious mind thought. She wasn't supposed to be swimming here in oblivion. She had been on the balcony, enjoying the cool air and watching the city lights below her. And now what was this? It couldn't be death...

simtopi chapter 19
"Cecilia. Time to wake up." said a voice just outside that darkness.

simtopi chapter 19
Whatever he did was tingly and warm. She could feel energy spark back into her body. She had felt nearly dead, but he'd brought her back to life.

simtopi chapter 19
She opened her eyes to look at him... her Prince who had come to break the spell and waken her from her slumber. She still felt light headed but whatever he did made her feel almost happy.
Malcolm: You must have had some night.
Cecilia: I... don't know what happened. Did I pass out?
Malcolm: Maybe a little too much to drink. It's alright.

simtopi chapter 19
Malcolm: I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you before, but now, I'm completely yours. Why don't you and I get out of here?
All Cecilia could do was look back at Malcolm and smile.

Notes:
- all in all, for the Club Divine scenes, I must have used about 40 Sims, from SWG and [livejournal.com profile] pixel_trade but it still didn't feel crowded enough for me. I wasn't sure my game was able to handle that many controllable sims at a time so I wasn't about to add more. I shot those scenes in about four different game sessions because it was so damn slow and even with free will off they weren't exactly easy to herd. Since this chapter was shot entirely on community lots, there was the added chaos of uncontrollable sims and townies. Nothing like trying to shoot a scene and having a townie ask one of your playables to play catch.
- I enjoyed adding the maxis sims to this chapter. It seemed to suit the scene, and some were kind of a tribute to some of my favourite stories. I sort of got into the Maxis canon a little late in my game, but had it been earlier on in my legacy, I might have used them a lot more. I'll give you internet cookies if you know who they are. :)
- I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Thanks for reading! <3

Oooh. This was good. I loved the sense of danger for Cecelia and Rowan. You had me worried for a couple of minutes there. There seems to be a lot of tension building on a lot of fronts. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where you're going with it all.

As always, the pictures are GORGEOUS. :)

I LOVE IT! The scene at the party was great, I love how it went back and forth to different situations throughout the whole too. Rowan never ceases to entertain me. :) I'm glad he didn't fall into Sybil's trap. And Cecilia needs to watch who she hits on. :P

Great update and definitely worth the wait.

You know how much adore Rowan! I was so worried that something was going to happen to him, phew! I almost cursed Meadow for letting him out of her sight.
I'm beginning to have sympathy for Clive AND I was worried Wesley would do something regrettable. This was too intense, I almost didn't finish my dinner!

This is still getting really good. Can't wait for the next chapters.

I'm wondering; What does Clara REALLY want with Wesley and what does she want with Willow when she finds out she's the one the Coven wants? Or has she already? And what's Sybil up to?

How do you find the time to do this, it's amazing! I love the club and bar scenes.

This chapter was so amazing!!! This one had even more suspense than the zombie one!! I was worried Rowan was going to be vampire chow for a little while there until Meadow (who I don't really like very much at the moment, but has gained more respect in my eyes because she saved Rowan) unintentinally saved him. Cecilia is definitley the quintessence of a dumb blonde... she is really getting on my nerves but I LOVE WESLEY! this only thing I was sad about is that we didn't see a lot of willow in this chapter... she's definitly my favorite charector! can't wait for the next chapter!!!

omigawd! Rowan decided to be good? That seems pretty unfitting for his appearance. X) But, sigh, Meadow. She's like the home he needs to go back to every day. I loled when he got into such a huge fight he was arrested. That sounds like a typical day for him. :P

Willow sensed danger when Miss Cordial (shit, I forgot her name) was there? When she was the good witch? I hope she's just being over-sensitive and that Ms Cordial is a friend to her! :S

Wesley biting Cecilia sure is a wrong move! Even more so coz he's at Malcom's party! I hope Malcom doesn't hunt him down, especially since he has certain *cough* attraction (eew! gross!) for the victim.

And, FORTY SIMS?!?!?! You are brave! I would have scared myself to death with the lag and therefore potential crash! XD

..it still didn't feel crowded enough for me..
I FEEL YOUR PAIN. 8( I REALLY DO.

lol, hi Mela. CRASHED a COUPLE OF TIMES? I would have reduced the number of sims straightaway! XD And you're damn right, I don't think I wanna do such huge scenes anymore.

You know, you're awesome too. 8)

40 sims?! And your computer only crashed a few times? It clearly paid off, the shots are stunning.

Very fun to see the contrasts between different characters' nights. I feel bad for Clive and Denise. It seems like there still could be something there.
