Willow is pushing those closest to her away, though I don't mind saying that she may not be doing it consciously. She does have a few things to deal with, and worrying about protecting them is one aspect. She's always been in some kind of minor conflict with herself about being in a relationship with Gabriel and an attraction to Adrian. There could also be "external" forces trying to make sure that she's isolated too... >_>
I do think you're right about Cecilia and how dealing with Brittany might help her in the end. She's also coming to grips with her sixth sense too, and it may prove helpful if she decides to get along with everyone else. :)
