Yeah Gabe is still in a bit of a shock, and I don't think he realizes exactly what being a witch is entirely but he does care about Willow. I don't think it would have kept him away. And whether or not Wesley interrupted him, he probably would have at least tried to hold his ground about not giving away Meadow's secret (though he does disagree with Meadow keeping it from Rowan). You're right, Rowan does need to know about Sage. I'm sure he will in time.
