Thank you. :*) It was a bit sad for me. I've gotten pretty fond of writing and playing with Sibyll. She wouldn't have said no to being rescued, but in the end she's much too proud to have been able to live that down.
Gabriel will get by, but yes he is understandably upset right now. I think he is also pretty bothered to see his home on fire too.
We will learn about Helene in a few chapters or so. I hope you can be patient. :D
